Color Run WAIVER
Participation in the Green Mountain Color Run is voluntary and may involve risks associated with running or walking outdoors, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions with other participants, uneven ground, weather conditions, physical exertion, and contact with colored powder.
Colored powder may come into contact with skin, eyes, hair, clothing, and the respiratory system and may cause irritation, discomfort, staining, or allergic reaction. Participants and parents/guardians must consider asthma, allergies, skin sensitivity, and other health concerns before participation.
By registering for this event, the participant certifies that they are physically able to participate and agree to follow all event rules and all instructions from Green Mountain Color Run organizers, staff, and volunteers.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Green Mountain Color Run, the participant knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the participant waives, releases, and holds harmless Green Mountain Color Run, its organizers, sponsors, volunteers, staff, venue, and affiliated parties from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in the event, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
The participant authorizes Green Mountain Color Run and its event personnel to obtain emergency medical assistance for the participant if needed and understands that the participant or parent/guardian is responsible for any resulting medical costs.
The participant grants permission for Green Mountain Color Run to photograph, film, record, and otherwise capture the participant's name, image, likeness, and voice during the event and to use those materials for legitimate promotional, educational, community, website, social media, advertising, and other marketing purposes without compensation, unless a written opt-out is provided before the event.
If the participant is under 18 years of age, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they are authorized to consent on behalf of the minor participant and agrees to the participant's involvement in the Green Mountain Color Run. The parent or legal guardian further agrees to the waiver, release, emergency medical authorization, media release, and colored powder acknowledgment on behalf of the minor participant.
By submitting this registration, the participant, or the parent/legal guardian if the participant is a minor, confirms that they have read and understood this waiver and agree to it voluntarily.
